There are hundreds of hair colors

The guards aren't too tough (especially those who are participating D2R Items as a team with other players, but they are a pretty good source for gold and drops. It's the reason why it's recommended to follow the carriage throughout its entire journey in order to participate in as many of those guard fights that you can.
